Still Life Project

For my still life painting I blended the colors with my finger to show a tint such as the apples, vase and flowers. I also used layered the leafs to show volume around the vase. I also added shadows to make the objects in the painting, grounded instead of floating around the canvas. I included analogist colors from the leaves to the sunflower. I made my wall light green to bring calmness to the painting and to the person whose looking at the canvas.

Palmistry is the art of characterization and foretelling the future through the study of the palm. The reason why I based it on my rock is because I was so interested on how the linings could determine what would happen in the future or past events that lead toward your own life. I added texture to the lines to emphasis on how hands can have deeper lines that mean that something really important will happen and can effect you deeply later on.

One in six children 5 to 14 years old — about 16 percent of all children in this age group — is involved in child labor in developing countries.Worldwide, 126 million children work in hazardous conditions, often enduring beatings, humiliation and sexual violence by their employers. About 215 million children ages 5-17 are engaged in child labor. Children are forced to work up to 18 hours a day, often never leaving the confines of the factory or loom shed.Children are also trafficked into one form of labor may be later sold into another, as with girls from rural Nepal, who are recruited to work in carpet factories but are then trafficked into the sex industry over the border in India.
Surrealism Project
Throughout my life I had dreams about success and failures, in which some come true and some later on become the worst thing possible to exist. Mostly the same dream has reoccurred. Which a humongous eye comes striking down to the ground and brings chaos but later on makes things peaceful it was like a weird but unique oxymoron. In this portrait you see some sort of flow movement of the birds departing on the left and on the right. This symbolizes the time to move on, grow up and leave. Also the eye represents what I have seen across the years in high school within realizing that senior year is almost ending. The reason why I decided to draw the ‘blood’ coming out of the eye with color pencils is to show my childhood like life image that symbolizes all the happiness dripping until there was nothing left. The hanging people symbolize the obstacles I had to deal with in making life decisions and choices in my life such as making friends dealing with family issues and sorting out my path of success.
Self Portrait

There’s an emphasis in the eyes that makes the iris of the eye stand out in the portrait, there’s also rhythm with the line of dots on my left side also there’s a pattern of colors in a line flipping back and forth.
